Welcome to another throwback Thursday post, this time from the Geyer Del Tatio, in Chile.
The Geyer Del Tatio sits high in Andes mountains, at around 4320m just outside San Pedro de Atacama. I visited them back in in 2015 on a bitterly cold winters morning – minus 10°C is a shock when you have just come from the humidity of the Hong Kong summer.
However, the magnificent spectacle that unfolded in from of me was worth the sacrifice of the 6 am start and biting winds. Watching steam rise from the ground in the driest desert on the planet is a surreal concept as was watching the erupting geysers.
