Ex 3.1 EYV -The Frozen Moment –

A traditional use of a high shutter speed is in sports photography. In the image below, I used a shutter speed of 1/800th of a second to capture both the power and the almost balletic nature of rugby. The frozen movement of the player’s cheeks is striking, and although the moment is perfectly frozen, there is no doubt that movement is happening. The image conveys both the stillness of the captured moment and the dynamic energy of the sport.Rugby
