Today for throwback Thursday I’m re-visiting Rio De Janeiro. I visited back in June 2015.
I remember getting of the plane and think wow I never thought I would come to Rio and actually feeling close to tears looking the view from Christ the Redeemer.
Rio De Janeiro
I flew to Rio from San Francisco, It was night flight arriving early morning. The flight was cold making it hard to sleep; the four hour time difference was killer for jet lag. I had just adjusted to San Francisco time from Hong Kong – this relatively short time different floored me.
The jet lag slowed me down, and I found it hard to capture the Rio at its best. To make truly great travel pictures, you need to relax into the location, for Rio I didn’t have the time to relax and feel at home.
I enjoyed every single minute and fabulous memories when I look at the images I have in the album above that how I feel they capture my memories.
Rio in Black & White
As always I captured some images in Black & White, these are more street photography in style and I like how these have captured the people of Rio quite nicely.
Rio Cityscapes
To close this post I have images for the Rio skyline take from the viewing platform at Christ the Redeemer – it hard to choose a favourite from up there as the view was so breathtaking and will live with me forever.
