HKIA a unique place

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on Lantau Island is a pretty unique place

HKIA is probably one very few airports where you are able to get very close to the end of the runway to photograph the planes.

Now you may think this something that only plane spotters, but you should think again. If you head there to capture the planes landing taking off in the golden light of the late afternoon you can get some very interesting shots.

Also it faces west over sea so it’s an amazing place for sunsets
