A1 EYV First Edit contact sheets

After a productive day of shooting for Assignment 1, I embarked on the crucial step of reviewing my work. Yesterday’s photo session was both exhilarating and challenging, as I navigated familiar terrain with a fresh perspective. Following an initial cull of the photos, I’m now left with a set of contact sheets that will be key to refining my project.

The Culling Process

The first stage of reviewing involved a culling process, where I sifted through the numerous shots taken during the shoot. This phase is essential for narrowing down the images to those that best capture the essence of the assignment. It’s always a mix of excitement and critical assessment—deciding which photos hold potential and which ones don’t make the cut.

During the culling, I looked for images that stood out in terms of composition, subject matter, and overall impact. The goal was to identify the photos that effectively convey the character of the route from Sham Shui Po to Jordan and align with the project’s objectives.

The Contact Sheets

I’m now left with 3 contact sheets from the session. These sheets provide a comprehensive overview of the shots taken and serve as a crucial tool for further analysis.
